Hi! Welcome Back!
I hope you’ve had a great few weeks! If you weren’t aware, I took some time off of writing to address some pretty intense burn out that I was feeling. I’d been feeling like the way I was working was unsustainable and wanted to really think about what I want my Substack and social media presence to look like.
I’m back with some news that I’m really excited to share with you!
Scheduling & Format Updates
I’m reducing my newsletters to 1 per month. The goal for this newsletter will be to update you on what I’ve been working on in the “studio”, sharing a few snippets of life and parenting, things that have been inspiring me that month, and any upcoming artwork releases coming to my Etsy shop. I will write a separate official newsletter for March soon! I still plan to regularly share art as I’m making it in my Notes. All of this will remain free to all subscribers!
A Paid Subscriber Creative Club is Coming in May!
To celebrate the anniversary of my joining Substack, I will be launching a paid subscription club in May! I’m still working out all of the details but here is what I have planned so far:
Monthly Community Art Prompt- I love a good theme. One of my favorite things about Substack is the community here. I’d love to have a group of fellow artists or creatives all sharing what we create using the same art prompt using our preferred mediums and interpretations.
Monthly Painting Tutorial Video- I plan to create and share a new step-by-step painting guide video each month. I’m thinking the subjects will be based on the theme but we’ll see!

Spring Mini Painting Collection Releases on Friday, March 20th
As you may have guessed from all of the paintings I’ve shared above, I’m getting ready to launch a new collection! I have 9 new original mini gouache paintings that will be going up on my Etsy shop on the first day of spring! These little 3x4” minis were the perfect antidote to my burn out and helped me find my way back to painting.
I’m so excited to continue on this journey with you! I’ll talk to you again soon with my March newsletter! Feel free to put any questions you have about the changes to my format in the comments below or share what you’ve been working on lately!
